Regions 7 & 8 will be gathering this fall  with others who work with those in the first 1/3 of life.  This summit will focus on leadership development, adaptive leadership, and “Leading the Leader” and will include those from Youth and Family Ministry, Campus Ministry, and ELCA Staff.  There will be time set apart for cohort/affinity group meetings, including caucus times for LOM organizations.  And, there will be a heavy emphasis on networking and partnerships.  The event begins at 5:30 for dinner on Sunday, October 22, with our first session starting at 7:00 p.m.  The event will end with lunch on Tuesday, October 24.

I’m emailing with an invitation to a joint gathering of Regions 7&8 folks in leadership in the following ministries: Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, Youth and Family Ministry, Campus Ministry, and ELCA Staff for a time of sharing, visioning and growing ministry together as folks focused on children and youth ministries.

The summit will be at Cross Roads Camp in Port Murray, NJ.  Molly Beck Dean, Director of the ECLA Youth Gathering and Mark Burkhart, Director of Congregation Centers for Mission for the ELCA will be part of this event.
