Program Leadership

Program Leadership staff usually work under the supervision of a Director or the Executive to provide program development and leadership. Program Directors, Environmental Education staff, Ropes Course managers, and other Program Leaders typically plan programs, hire and schedule seasonal staff, and provide direct program leadership.

Program Director – Sugar Creek Bible Camp
Ferryville, WI

General Responsibilities:The Program Director shall be able to effectively communicate the Gospel within the context of Lutheran Theology, and be committed to Sugar Creek Bible Camp's philosophy and program within the church. This will include working within a team to design and implement effective programming with our member Lutheran congregations as well as our ecumenical partners. This is a full-time, year around position which will include competitive salary and benefits, as well as on-site housing.

Qualifications: 1. Active faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, open to the work of the Holy Spirit, calling and commitment to Christian camping, and a desire and ability to share the Gospel. 2. Adventure Director – Cross Trails Ministry
Kerrville, TX

General Responsibilities: Cross Trails Ministry is the Lutheran camp and retreat ministry in the Hill Country of Texas. Two sites are part of Cross Trails, Camp Chrysalis and Ebert Ranch Camp. The Adventure Director will be the primary person in charge of Summer Off-Site Adventure Programs, including Beach Camp, San Antonio Urban Service Plunge and Texas Trek in State Parks. In the non-summer season the Adventure Director will work with the program team to host and program multi-generational retreats.

Qualifications: Applicants must be Christian with a desire to provide exemplary hospitality to all, be self-motivated with experience in developing and leading faith-based programs for youth and adults and be able to be certified in high ropes, lifeguarding and a passenger CDL. A willingness to travel extensively in the summer is required.

Program Director – Kinasao Lutheran Bible Camp

General Responsibilities: The Program Director will work directly with the Executive and Assistant Directors in planning, preparing, supervising and executing the various aspects of our camp ministry and programs. The primary responsibilities will be in the areas of Programming, Marketing and Administration

Qualifications: The Program Director must have an active faith in Jesus Christ, understanding and experience in the Lutheran church and seek to honor God in all areas of their life. Candidates interested in the position of Program Director must have experience supervising staff, must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must be organized and able to effectively communicate about work and ongoing projects, and must have exceptional people skills with the ability to relate to all age groups.

Program Director -- Lutherdale
Elkhorn, WI

General Responsibilities: The Program Director is hired by the Executive Director, reports to the Associate Director and is called by the Board of Directors to serve the mission of Lutherdale. He/she oversees the daily program operations at Lutherdale. The Program Director is also responsible for overseeing that Christian theology is consistent with that of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and modeled in all programs.

Qualifications: • A college degree required, with preferred majors in Youth Ministry, Education, or Recreation. • Experience in a camp setting or campus ministry and/or congregational youth ministry post high school. • Strong, personal commitment to Christian faith and ability to share this faith with others. • Familiar with ELCA theology, congregations, agencies, and structures. • Ability to work well with others, self-motivated to initiate new projects, and able to follow through on details to carry out program

Electrical Lead – Holden Village
Chelan, WA

General Responsibilities: Operate, maintain, and repair the village hydroelectric plant and the village electrical distribution system. Repair/Improve building wiring systems to meet changing needs and code requirements. Repair electrical appliances. Work with head carpenter in re-wiring projects associated with building remodels. Work with utilities coordinator in load control efforts and improvements.

Qualifications: A Washington state journeyman's or electrical administrator's certification. Minimum one years experience as a licensed electrician. Some experience as a lineman and in hydro generation is preferred.
