Annual Conference

Dear Ministry Partner:

We hope you will join us for the 2017 Lutheran Outdoor Ministry (LOM) National Conference to be held November 6-10 at Beaver Run Resort, Breckenridge, CO.   Our event is projected to draw between 125-140 camp professionals (including program directors, camp managers, cooks, executive directors & board members) who will gather representing more than 80 camps, retreat & conference centers.  They will be attending from all across the United States.  For more on LOM, visit www.lomnetwork.org.  

The conference represents a great opportunity for you to feature your ministry with a display and as a sponsor!  There will be 12 Ministry Partner spaces available, plus a number of sponsorship times where you can be featured and have the attention of all the participants gathered!  We believe that you can be a valuable partner for education, connectivity & renewal to our participants.  We sincerely believe that you will enhance the experience by exposing our participants to the numerous resources and services you have to offer!  Thank you for considering these opportunities for your company or organization.

MINISTRY PARTNER DATES:  Check-in Monday, November 6 between 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Display area closes at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, November 7.

EXHIBITOR HALL PLACEMENT:  You will be placed in the hallway adjacent to the main gathering space for all large and small group breakout spaces.   The number of partners and participants is small. This provides an excellent opportunity for connection with participants.    We have 12 table spaces and will fill them on a first come, first served basis.  Your space in the exhibit hall (approximately 8’W X 6’D) will include one 6 foot table, two chairs, wireless internet.  Electrical access when requested.  All display items are to be carried in by your staff and can be shipped to the site.  Please make arrangements for items to arrive no sooner than Wednesday, November 1.  Please ship to: Beaver Run Resort; 620 Village Road; P.O. Box 2115; Breckenridge, CO 80424.  Please mark your packages LOM Ministry Partner.  Shipping Fees charged by Beaver Run:  Incoming packages = $10.00 each; Outgoing packages = $10.00; Storage (in excess of 3 days)= $2.00 per day per package.

COST AND BENEFITS:  Cost is $275.00 per Ministry Partner space.  Partners do not pay conference registration fee to attend the conference.  Deadline to register is October 10, 2017 (or when all available tables are reserved) with your full payment.  Your registration fee includes following:

  • Display area (choose the location for your display on a first come, first served basis)
  • Signage – we will post signs recognizing our sponsors during the conference. 
  • A full year LOM Ministry Partner Membership ($100 value included).  Go to http://lom.lwlbci.com/index.php/partners/ministries/ for a full listing of the benefits provided to Ministry Partner Members.  
  • Access to LOM professionals (including dedicated time in the schedule) and access to the conference roster
  • A maximum of three meals (Dinner Monday, Breakfast & Lunch on Tuesday) for one partner representative.  Meal tickets will be provided upon arrival.
  • Special promotions to attendees.  Your ministry will be mentioned in a special email that goes out to all registered participants before the conference.  This includes you providing your LOGO and a 100-word description of your resources and services. Send directly to webmaster@lomnetwork.org by October 15.  If we have your logo from last year and you have no changes we can use that logo and information upon your direction.  Your ministry will also appear on the exhibitor page of the conference “app” and you could chose to have a small banner advertisement in the conference app.

AUCTION:  We invite our exhibitors to participate in our annual LOM auction.  This is the event of the Conference.  Entertaining, everyone is there and it is the organizations most effective fund raising event.  We would also invite exhibitors to provide an item for the auction.  If you have interest in doing so, please indicate on the registration form and our auction coordinator will contact you.

ADDITIONAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:  Whether you are able to attend and be an on-site Ministry Partner or not you may still have a positive impact on participants by sponsoring parts of the conference.  These opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  All these opportunities include acknowledgement on the conference website and signage provided by the LOM.  Some give you a moment to greet those attending personally.

ADDITIONAL NOTE:  You can choose to be with us during our business exhibitor times if you would like in addition to the Ministry Partner Exhibitor time.  However, if you choose to do so we ask that you also register as a business exhibitor in addition to your registration as a Ministry Partner Exhibitor.  Total cost for Monday evening through Thursday morning would then be $650.00.  We will provide the three meals on Monday and Tuesday, other meals are on your own.  If you choose to do this please contact Bob Kuehner so that he is clear on your intention to be with us for additional time.

Your organization will receive an exhibitor table space ($400 value), LOM business membership or ministry membership, logos on multiple items for the conference, and if sponsors are present, they will have 3-5 minutes in front of the group to share your story.

LOM Auction Hospitality Sponsor (Wednesday Evening)

Your organization has up to 5 minutes to bring a personal greeting to all attendees; signage at hospitality time; multiple announcements throughout the day.  This is the biggest annual fundraising event of the year!  Your sponsorship provides food and beverages during the auction.

Scholarship

Provide a scholarship for attendees.  We are seeking 15 total.  Your recognition will be during each of our LOM business sessions.

All participants who visit each exhibitor have initialed card to enter into a raffle drawing for I-Pad.   You will be given a form to be stamped/signed by visitors to your table.  An iPad prize will be provided by LOM to the winner having the most stamped/signed by exhibitors!

Wednesday Afternoon Appetizers

Your organization will have a one minute greeting at the beginning of serving.  This will be 60 minutes before supper (5:00 p.m.) during exhibitor-only time on the schedule.  Also included are signage and announcements.
