About LOM Board of Directors The Board is responsible for managing the affairs of the organization, defining the Mission and Vision statements of the organization for review and approval by the membership, relate to the ELCA churchwide organization and Outdoor Ministry staff, planning for specific goals and objectives that will ensure the organization is an effective tool for ministry by its member organizations and the church, and maintaining proper standards for ethical and legal operation of the organization.

The Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Board of Directors consists of 12 members, nine voting members elected by the membership, and three non-voting members appointed by the Vocation and Education Program Unit of the ELCA.
